Project Summary:
ATS Interiors embarked on an extraordinary project to restore a listed stable building in Mayfair, transforming it into a unique Soho House location. Every aspect of this restoration called for close attention to detail and precision, as both the listed status of the building and the architectural requirements introduced numerous complexities.
The design of the staircase, running from ground level up to the third floor, was particularly challenging. Given the building’s historic nature, significant structural calculations were essential to ensure both the staircase and the building’s integrity met regulatory standards. The staircase featured a solid, fully clad balustrade finished in polished plaster, delivering a modern yet minimalist aesthetic that harmonised with the building’s heritage features. Achieving the curving design
required detailed planning and skillful craftsmanship, making the staircase both a focal point and a functional structure in this luxury space.
The final touches on the staircase included marble treads adding a refined elegance to complement the Soho House interior vision. Working within the constraints of a listed building and contributing to a project with such a high standard for detail was rewarding for our team.
We are proud to have played a role in this exceptional renovation, and we look forward to future opportunities to collaborate with Soho House and ATS Interiors
